Sense O' Viera is named after a friend of the band who really admired the famous footballer named Patrick Viera (who used to play for Arsenal & Juventus) and played football imitating Patrick Viera's style.

The band was formed by Kevin along with his friend Saga in 2003 when they were still in their high school days. They first started out as a typical after school jamming band, jamming around local music studios in Kuching. During that time, Soulfly was the hottest band around.
Kevin really loved the idea of mixing tribal elements with metal music; a style made popular by bands like Sepultura (during their Roots era) and Soulfly. This is because all of Sense O' Viera's member is made up of Dayaks (ethnic indigenous tribes of Borneo). With their love for their Dayak & Borneo roots, Kevin was driven to form a band that played metal & at the same time, paying tribute to the band's Dayak roots.

Fusing Borneo folk & mythology elements with metal music became a trademark Sense O' Viera. They are a frequent act in local gigs around Kuching city and they have since recorded a demo entitled "Dayak Warrior" in 2007.

Band Members
Charles Rossem [Vocal], John Boniface [Bass], Abdul Aziz [Guitar], Nellfee [Guitar], Abdul Hadi [Keyboard] & Bendy Ismardy [Drums]

Nice Stupid Playground was formed in 1992 and fronted by Charles Rossem. Musically, they are influenced by the now defunct early 80s British sounds. In 1996, John Boniface (bassist) sent their most successful demo titled Thirty Zero Eight to Paul Moss, one of Positive Tones highly rated producer. The demo automatically caught Paul Moss interest and immediately offered Nice Stupid Playground a compilation album deal. The compilation which was released in 1997 entitled Boys & Girls 1 + 1 = 3 in which Nice Stupid Playground contributed 3 songs- ‘Bedroom Window’, ‘She Wants’ and ‘And I Don’t Admire’.

Dubbed as Sarawaks best kept secret, Nice Stupid Playground success follows with a full length album deal offered by Positive Tone. In 1999, they started working on their new album and by December 1999, a new first single Stereo Girl was released and immediately topped several local chart shows.

In February 2000, the first full length album ‘My Life Is My Parents Biggest Television’ was released and at the same time, a music video for Stereo Girl was shot. Stereo Girl music video was awarded 3rd Best Music Video at the Malaysian Video Awards (MVA) in 2000. The album also received good reviews from music critics everywhere but unfortunately the album sales are not too convincing.

Nice Stupid Playground parted with Positive Tone in 2003 due to a change of management. They did get an offer to record a full length Malay album but were not keen to persue the project. However, Nice Stupid Playground kept on performing at numerous shows both in East Malaysia and the Peninsular during their quiet period. They keep on writing new songs and hoping somewhere, somehow there will be an offer a deal by any label or perhaps a potential investor who are willing to invest.

Finally in 2005, Nice Stupid Playground was offered an album deal by Mr. Clinton Ang who is now the spokeperson cum manager for the band. All the new songs were recorded between May October 2005 at Zanzibar Media in Kuching, Sarawak. The album is called A Beautiful Life and musically tagged as the new BorneoPop, most of the new songs sounding pretty much from the 80’s New Wave era. Nice Stupid Playground hope to catch up with their fans who’ve been waiting for something new from the band for the past 5 years.

Seven Days After, the name is all about the vibe, the feeling that you felt after something happened either sad or happy, how it changed a person the whole life and what it felt like after a week, that explains the mood in some of the songs. Quoted from the band interview “we never actually label ourselves, we play what we like”.

The whole song writing processes are sharing of thoughts and ideas of all the band members at the moment. Every each one of us has his own idea of how the band should sound like so it’s like finding the middle of a tangled rope. Everyone is pulling each end of the rope. We give each other space to creatively express ourselves.

We never wanted to restraint our idea of making music. This is not possible if we stick to one genre. Progress is inevitable but we don’t mind what the people label us. They are free to do so. That’s how they define our music in their own way. Looking at the band members each has a different musical back ground. Now, the 5-piece band has steadily made a name for themselves by playing in every gig that they could get into, showing everyone what they are capable of.

The band existed in the scene when Huffyz met Didhy in Kuching. Both of them are true indie music lovers and lots of British Acts. They decided to form the band in the middle of 2003. Didhy was taking the guitarist and vocalist, and huffyz decided to be the drummer. Didhy told Huffyz to find another line up, until Didhy started to follow his family transfer to KL. Huffyz never gave up finding a bassist.

Didhy and Huffyz still contacted each other although Didhy was in KL. While Huffyz was in KL, he found a bassist. Huffyz said the bassist is his best friend and his school classmate, Alanx. Didhy knows him too. When Didhy came back to Kuching, the three of them met and practiced the cover songs of their favourite bands. They discussed on a name for the band and 'THE RUSH' was the chosen band name.

When the band started to play their songs, the crisis of the band spoiled the band. Huffyz decided to leave the band. Then, Didhy and Alanx found Adthely who plays as the drummer now. Fortunately, the new 'The Rush' begins, and they participate in the Battle of the Bands. The BOTB is called ’Lord of The Bands’, organized by Silas of Evenstarr. The Rush got through to the finals, and they won the 5th place consolation.

After the battle, The Rush was interviewed by the popular music magazine in Malaysia ROTTW. Then, The Rush continued with invitation to perform in the mini gigs, charity performances, open day of colleges and festivals with other local bands in Kuching City.
